The days of charming the canteen auntie for extra chicken might be numbered. Wilmar Distribution is now running a central kitchen in Tuas that feeds over 3,000 students across four schools daily, including Northoaks Primary. It’s a huge operational shift from the traditional individual stalls we grew up with to a standardized, mass-cooked model. While it solves manpower issues, it definitely changes the recess culture.Do you think central kitchens kill the school vibe, or is efficient food the way to go?
